Sci-Fi Cake (Geeky, but not Tech)
CakeWrecks.com is a site I frequent, seeing as how that's going to be part of my chosen profession should everything come to pass... They have on there today some of the cakes from a convention-type show from Austin last month... Really cool stuff, and the theme was Sci-Fi/Fantasy... Here's a preview of what they'll be teasing with for the upcoming week... Offsite Link

  • Cake on pi day? Isn't that blasphemy or something? -chazz
  • So, you're moving from tech to baking? Just asking, since I'm a baker that moved to tech.... -Enzedder
  • Enz, yes I am... In Chicago the tech market is horrible. I lack any paperwork saying I'm certified to do computer repair, but there are many people who will tell you I am good at what I do... Also, the amount of self-employed techs makes venturing out on my own not that great of an idea... So I opted to go with something that's more fun and I still get to work with my hands. And here's my first attempt at doing something out of the ordinary, with no training whatsoever in that medium: Offsite Link Done for HT's b-day last month. -exzyle2k
  • I was all aboutdevouring such saud cake, but then they had to ruin it with "Starship Troopers". Ugh... -udoshan
  • How funny. I'm a tech who became a pastry chef who returned to tech. I hope the pay is better down there than it is up here. :) -LDFeral
