Obtuse user is obtuse
Currently in the process of a user list review for all marketing countries our program supports. Asks the IS manager of one country to review the provided user list and and ask them to fill out the excel worksheet we provided and send it to us once done... said IS manager sends us a screenshot of the excel worksheet with the data we need. *sigh*

  • Send the IS Mgr a screenshot of his/her check rather than the real check...that should make the point? -CTYankee
  • That is better than a bad cellphone photo of the screen with the spreadsheet shown on it. I have gotten that one more times than I can count. -Griffin2020
  • "Please do the needfull" -AngrySup
  • I feel your pain. From time to time we ask our department heads to send us updated team rosters so we can streamline billing. We have one guy who takes as screenshot of his team roster in Excel, pastes the screenshot into a Word document, then attaches the Word file into an email. I'm all like WTF dude? -slowANDeasy
  • Where I work, we'd call that "an excellent training opportunity." Folks, teach your users about OLE. Copy-and-paste isn't just for text anymore... -Captain Trips
  • That's nothing - I once got sent a screenshot of a Word document containing a screenshot of Windows Explorer. The information I'd asked for? The name of a directory where some info was stored (which was, admittedly, showing in the Explorer screenshot...) -Shaede
