Thanks for the reference, but I'll probably go and buy a proper degaussing ring when the time comes. This thing is still going strong, and I'll just replace the switch when that eventually fails (SPST momentary slide). I remember my Radio Shack days...back when the cash drawer was the toggle/bell kind, and the tickets were handwritten carbon-style.... -Grue
