Bio: Worked with computers since about '77 or so (8th grade). Programming degree, now doing 'integration' ('consult'/recommend/upgrade/'if it's broke, fix it!') I also can get a broken 3.5" floppy out of a drive <grin>

Well, 15 degrees of the backplate is about a 75 degree tilt. Mine were only 15 degrees off verticle. But the pins were all singles that were bent, so I know I didnt fark it up. :~} -burrkiss

It's HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon. Change DefaultUserName to the user's name and log off. When they ctrl-alt-del, it'll have their username in teh box already. It's very handy! -Plurimatic -Plurimatic

VirtualPC is ok but if you're going to need to defrag your HDD after creating a .vhd or The virtual machine will eat up your CPU time when you try to boot the virtual machine. 1.8GHz (Celeron at 100% before -- 34% after) 2156 file fragments on a 8GB VHD. -lancasterjl

I find the 'Natural' keyboard screws up on me too. Most often when I'm typing closed curved brackets. I do smilies fairly often, and I can't count how many times :) becomes :0. Definitely changes the mood of the message. :) -Jay911

<grins> Yup. Yersinia Pestis is Bubonic Plague. I chose the ID because I have 8 pet rats and my oldest girl ratty is named Yersinia. Uninformed people often ask me if my rats carry plague.. pet rats are as far removed from wild rats and the pathogens they may carry as poodles are from wild wolves. So my choice of YersiniaPestis as a userID is a poke at the silly fools who think that all rats carry plague.

I was a bit unclear, The software we use is for testing other equipment, will only run on certain O/S's - the oldest needs Win98 - and the latest requires Windows 2000, but as we stil get equipment that needs the old software - we have to keep Windows 98, and as the software is supplied to us, we are unable to do anything but use the O/S it runs will run on.... The point I was on about is that some places cannot just upgrade to the latest version of windows, as they would be unable to do there job... -Wonko The Sane

As far as i remember you can clone a blank partition to another drive. This is why when i do a disk to disk clone i copy the disk image to a small HD so i know which one is the destanation. :) -makillik
