Bio: Fantasy writer, tech, bitch, pagan, mother, all that jazz. I'm recovering goth, but don't advertise that fact with my clothes, it's a lifestyle people, not a fashion statement. I am generally not the person to mess with when I'm hormonal, but the good news is that I'm back to only being hormonal once a month, sometimes longer. Married, mother of two. Lots of other things you don't get to find out about me from this box, but might find somewhere else.

I figure it's because when we get called, they get to shut off all higher brain functions. Check the rule I just posted yesterday to explain it better -TrippBiscuit
hehe..someone else from someplace blue, let me guess..big and blue? -Bluetech
My ex-wife's eyes would glaze over with ignorance when I would be talking tech with friends. My g/f (here and now) not only is able to keep up but contribute..... Something I have found in the past 20 years is that I would RATHER deal with a woman who is a techie. At least in my experience most women in the field work twice as hard as us guys and aren't held up by ego to say "I don't know" (instead of faking it). - Running Wolf -RunningWolf
Thankyou for your comment on my whiteboard. Actually I felt I pretty much DID have to say what I did. I have no problem with ppl expressing their oppinions, but I do have a problem when those oppinions are pure vitriol founded on nothing more than sheer ignorance. The comments about the french being cowards during WWII particularly incensed me. Its amazing how many americans are completely ignornant of the true facts concerning the bravery of the french during that particular conflict. e.g. where it not for the the heroic efforts of the Conseil National de la Resistance & particularly the Maquis in slowing down the 2nd SS Panzer Division advance towards Normandy, the D-Day landings would have had a vastly different outcome. & this is merely ONE example. Brave french CIVILIANS laid down their lives in astounding numbers to aid the allied war effort to protect the lives of the American, Canadian & British soldiers fighting for their liberation, a fact aknowledged by General Dwight D. Eisenhower writing after the war: "Throughout France the Resistance had been of inestimable value in the campaign. Without their great assistance the liberation of France would have consumed a much longer time and meant greater losses to ourselves." I also find it somewhat ironic that the majority of them dont even know that without the help of the French & the financial & military support they gave to the American revolution, the USA would never have even won its independance in the first place. The Statue of Liberty, perhaps the most famous symbol of American freedom was a gift from the french to celebrate the success of their efforts to overthrow English oppression. If america now hates the french so much maybe they should hand it back. It truely astounds me just how easilly the citizens of the USA can be spoon fed their oppinions these days by George Bush & CNN. Its almost Orwellian. -Digital Dogcow
I'm a big dragon fan and used to paint miniatures by Grenadier. I still have some unpainted and have pictures of the painted ones at http://www.geocities.com/starfury_42/ -Starfury

Is there a story behind the soapbox post? -CommanderData
Actually M'Lady, you had not said you had a phoenix in answer to my first tattoo question. I was pleased that you were one of few that gave me only the short quick answer I asked for and then filled in the blanks on the second question. Seriously hope all goes well with being away from the job stress now. Regards. -Rabbitt
Dragones, you shouldn't have had to have even THOUGHT of giving up your seat in that case. She deserved to be reamed.. HARD. -Warrick
Hey Dragones... I noticed on your most recent post about PCOS. I was recently diagnosed after having my period straight for 3 months. I would love to chat with ya and ask you some questions that I have. -- BunnieTechBabe -- barbigirl8@yahoo.com -BunnieTechBabe
I like the T-Shirt! If I could find a UK seller of it I'd buy it (Pagan and proud here) -CommanderData
The spirits of the four ways have bean invoved. Water, earth, fire, air. Aditionally, the 5th one, spirit, is getting all of my energy! -Hellion
"but I digress... -" I've been saying this since I played Animal Crossing... you? -Zentar
If you are having trouble with morning sickness, try lemon in your water or vanilla anything...ice cream, shakes you name it. I learned that after a car accident. I didn't know I was pregnant for about a week after. I just thought my sickness was due to injury. When my physical therapist found out about the baby and the sickness, she suggested it. I thought she was loony, but it worked. Good luck. -persephone
So, you planned how you are going to have this baby - hospital, home, whatever? -CommanderData
Oh yes I would be interested in the complete MCB! Send it to commanderdata (at) gmail.com -CommanderData
Sorry if I upset in any way. Have a nice weekend! -HunterSThompson
Drag.. Just read your post about jackasses w/ gangsta music playing, and I read you're in Ontario.. One techy to another, If I can lend a hand, I'll help out where I can. -MassiveTechs
Dragones.... If you live *anywhere* that has been amalgamated this'll happen. Blame the stupid government. ;) -mousie
regarding your hormonal rant: My future brother in law managed to get his new girlfriend pregnant a couple of months ago and since he's only 19, he's having some trouble dealing with her emotional outbursts. I'm guessing since she's never been in this situation before, its a case of confusion + hormones = irrational outbursts and she isn't really upset with him, but the only way he knows how to deal is by leaving till he cools down (which I'm sure you'll agree isn't the best thing he could do..). Any advice from the other side of the wall that I can pass on to him that might help? -Mephiston
Hey! Thanks for turning me on to Queen of Wands. It's the best comic ever! -Teran
Good to hear there's a goth in lifestyle not appearance -- far too many people who are goth in appearance not lifestyle in Tacoma. :) -Mushroom
Hey! Where in Ontario you located? I'm in Waterloo, and the company I work for is screaming for help. I suppose since you're so far along you'll be off the work force for a while (enjoy it!). Congrats on the little one as well...my wife is 28 wks along with our second one. Cheers! Oh yah...she loves Q.o.W.'s and is a techie too :) -Arviragus
You did realize, didn't you, just how much attention that comment would generate. My gosh we're easy! (or is it cheap?) One more excellent reason to visit Canada. -Dewby
Please please, tell me you're not Aes Sedai -Bliss
I'm funny like that, figure I'll just cope and things like little ones coming over rule me. I'm here already ;) -NightRain
Tonia says: "She hasn't had that kid YET? She's gotta be miserable. I'd be going to the doctor with "Get this thing out of me!" by now. My sympathies to you." -Grue
=grin= trust me, you don't want to keep me. I've done worse larts, and I'm not about to post them, but I'll email if you want? -NightRain

Hun, thank you for the really lovely birthday present! It's raining like crazy here and the skies are grey but you made me smile. Thank you hun. -CommanderData
Re : karma and larts. All things balance out in the end. I've seen it happen. -NightRain
I've got no problems at all with your posts, thy're well written & thus entertaining. You miss my point, If ppl want goodwill mesages, If people want support or msgs of goodwill, thats fine, I just wish they would not call it karma, because that is a misnomer, and betrays a lack of understanding of what karma truely is. My other point is that the things I've highlighted are fine in moderation, but one the site starts becoming swamped with them, then its time to call it like you see it. You've no need to appologise to me at all, you're not the problem. :) Peace!. -Digital Dogcow
Heh, thanks for your whiteboard. It's just a sore spot with me. -Taterlain
Congratulations :> -RTFM
Djarum Blacks..thats my poison now, 2 Great things about them, nobody wants to bum one, and the extend smoke breaks by like 5min :) -neuman1812
I now understand the extreme anger you had over a certain tech's inappropriate comments. Another tech has just called me an attention whore for posting about my recovery from my operation this year. I now know the anger and hurt, there is a line between funny and just plain bang out of order and I think a certain tech on the break room just fucking crossed it. -CommanderData
I adore you sweetheart (gives huggles) - you mean the world to me. -CommanderData
Do you play SWG? I ask because this was just posted to my Guild's website and the coincidence is...spooky? :D -GargoyleTS
Errr, to clarify, the Link of the Day you posted is what I am talking about. *screws head back on so he doesn't lose it* -GargoyleTS
*Puts on sunglasses* Hey, the stars just got brighter! Congrats! -halfstarfish
Hiya sweetie - how are you doing? -CommanderData
Nice to see one of the faces I remember from my startings on TSC back. How you been, aside from kidlet and all? -NightRain
Many thanks for supporting TSC! -Hawk
Hi Amanda, how's life treating you? -lineswine
I checked out your site, and it's pretty nice. Being someone on the spectrum myself, I commend you! :) -elcapitane
Yup, I've had plenty to rant about too. Like in '07, a girl I asked out came ever so close to getting me fired from my gov't job. Instead of just saying "No thanks", or "I've got a boyfriend", she dragged my carcass to court, hit me with a PPO, lied through her teeth about how I had prevented her from doing her job, and hid evidence that proved I had done nothing wrong to her, such as the investigation from the security officer that stated in no uncertain terms that the last time I had worked on her computer was before she even started her job. Oh yes, and she found my MySpace page, and based solely on that, declared I had severe psychological issues. So yeah, if that were the behavior of a "normal" person, then normal I don't want to be. -elcapitane
As far as what to use on "Super Mutants" ... I *could* tell you , but I really don't want to leave your hubby a widower and your children motherless. ;-) After taking a quick peek at your relaunched web page and blog entry, I will say this much: "Don't fight to define yourself. You're too busy to correct other's misconceptions about you. As long as you're secure in who you are, It is more than enough." d-_-b -Necros
http://www.techcomedy.com/single/new_stories.php?content_number=79673 My comment...I am SOOO in trouble! -lineswine
