Was it the old TEAC drives with the sector-count bug? I remember those. -Grue
Loren, on a tech story about a wireless network, you said: "If your machines are secure, what's the big deal?" Well, it's like this... let's say I wanted to get you in trouble, and you had an open wireless access point. Your computers are locked down inside, fine, although that means you can't share files between them. But I hook up to your wireless network, find out who your ISP is, and send a threatening message to POTUS that originates at your IP. "Hello, we're from the CIA, and we're going to tear your house apart to find where this message came from that started at your assigned IP address. And if we can't find it, we'll just use the ISP logs to have your little fanny put away for PATRIOT act violations." -chazz
Yeah, I was surprised Stars! ran on XP... though it seems to run without any problems. I don't seem to have any issues creating or opening any windows beyond the occasional desktop drawing glitch after closing the game... it goes away if I restart or if Explorer crashes though -teivrann
I'm curious what it was you found out regarding personal recordings being illegal... sounds counter-intuitive to me. -ShujinTribble
