Welcome to the club, brother. Do you live anywhere near Islington? (Kidding!) -MadJack BTW: Check out the mouse call. Came from Hell. -MadJack Hey that mouse call was played in my training class about a dozen times. I'm glad I found it outside of class, 'cause my company wouldn't let us download it. Confidential info or something like that. It was our company that took the call though. :) I don't know if I should be proud or scared. -Sky42 Happy Christams fellow U.K I.T tech support! -CommanderData Wonko, can you e-mail a copy of that .reg file that locks down a PC? I do fairly well hiding/locking stuff with TweakUI, but this sounds better. Thanks. riffraff@wizardslab.net -RiffRaff Ditto riffraff, i would love a copy of that .reg file. Belltech_pc@yahoo.com -eldorel You stole my nickname :(
I use Wonko everywhere I go..
- Forty Two -Jester I know it's a 'guide thing.
I've read the 'trilogy' no less than a dozen times.
I like using Wonko because it's such a little known reference, hidden away in the forth book. :)
It's also why I said "Forty-Two" in my last post on your whiteboard. Surely you know what that means - if you don't, you're definately not worthy of the nick. :) -Jester lol! don't worry. i'm thoroughly amazed no one had yet kicked me off the soapbox. i'll stay down for now.... .least till i have a new rant. ;) -mousie You'd trust transporter technology? Didn't you see Spaceballs? <Pres. Skroob> Why didn't anyone tell me my arse was so big?</Pres. Skroob> -K1W1 "Glue Battery to Motherboard (and reset link)" And give me 20 minutes with the PC , a hacksaw, and a piece of wire, and I'll be able to reinstall the OS. There is no security without physical security. Just fill the damn thing with cement and sink it into the ocean. -scooby111 Say Wonko, are you the same Wonko that used to play Day of Defeat on the HoD (Heart of Dixie) servers a while back?
[1H]He Schutze, He Scores! -PalmPirate Wonko - I'll LART anyone who mouths off at me & gets all indignant BEFORE they check their facts. Typically this is the action on someone who 'shhots from the lip@ & NOT the brain. Take histoys away (the Smith & Wesson, Glock, Colt type) & he's just another ignorant yank without a farking clue about anyplace other than his own back yard. The man didn't even know that Canada Day existed or when it was celebrated ...& he lives in Maine - about as North a continetal state as you can get without actually being a Canadian! -lineswine Though your printer prints at 1,440 DPI, that's representing the droplets of C, M, Y, and K ink, not the actual pixels in the image. The printer actually uses about 4 drops of ink per pixel on your image, so you likely won't notice any difference between printing a 300 DPI image and a 1,440 DPI one. I'm not knocking ya or anything - this just confused me for a LONG time so thought it might help if I explained it :~) -Mango What the heck? Another big bright beautiful big butted star in the east? WOW! Congrats Wonko. -Rabbitt Such a beautiful star. I like. -Zayda Hi! You mentioned your OS mix for testing software (98/2k/XP). Do you know about VirtualPC and VMWare? They'll allow you to run an OS in a window, and the OS will react as if it was on its own machine. *AND* you can keep a copy of the base configuration, so you can re-install the apps on a clean install every time just by copying a file into place! HTH?? :~)) -CTYankee Thanks for the book! I love it! -Veinor Brainfart moment, did you ever post on the dilbert List of the day when the site had said thing on it still? -NightRain You didn't get it wrong. I was playing around and being my old goofy self! No hard feelings, ok? I was just joking around. -rokitt I came across your nick on a CAD forum I was searching - would you mind if I pick your brains on summat? Ta. -Gromit Are you up for the TSC UK BBQ? It should be in summer, at Smellys' (nr. Coventry) -lineswine You must be "sane" to maintain that well rounded posterior in such a manner. Nice Star! -Rabbitt -pollo Nice butt! :D -Ara On hating QuickTime, have you tried Video LAN player as an alternative? I've been using it for years and love it. It plays pretty much any media I throw at it. Also there are many other QuickTime alternatives available. -FreakyFerret
