Bio: Working tech support for installers of satellite and wireless internet solutions available across Canada. I've gotten away from dealing with customers on a daily basis but some of the installers and dealers are just as bad. However most of them are not and it's definitely a refreshing change from trying to walk Grandma through a power cycle.
Gigglebyte my son is now 4 and half years old and loves playing practical jokes. I haven't killed my husband. We have 3 furbabies, dog, cat and a rabbit (and the rabbit is the boss!) Loving life and still lurking here after 8 years.

I think we're hitched to the same wagon. My OOW call handlers also include some ESL (English as a Second Language) members and some take all the customer's info but put none of it into the system - so I have to ask for it AGAIN and it's MY fault hte customer is PO'd for having to give their info all over again. -Skylark you guys play lullubys on your on hold music? do you ever pick up the line and they fishie's fallen asleep? -drachen Just visited your site. Wow, you certainly do look familiar. -Dragones Replied on the message board and just wanted to give you the heads up here - http://www.ncix.com - Canadian prices, not too bad price wise over all. -GeekGirl Dogs, gotta love em. My dog is about 75-80 pounds. Riff & I trained her ourselves so if you have any questions, give one of us a holler. Get some really good books from the library & you'll get a general feel for what will work best with his personality. Best thing to remember is that the training has to take into account dogs actual natures, and how contrary it is to human society, so your job is to train it for human society. Also helpful toremeber that chewing on things is a natural instinct and not a way to be mean to you. (Hard after she has just chewed up your brand new prescription glasses. lol. Have fun. I think dogs are some of the best creatures on earth. -Magenta I have a epson photo 825 that constantly clogs ink. 1 yr old. I print most often now than I used to after I found out that it wasnt good to leave it sit for months on end. Now I'm done wasting $30 for a ink tank, and looking for a good photo printer. I prefeer 5-6 ink tanks for cost effectiveness, want to be able to connect my digital camera to the printer and download to the computer. Does the Pictbridge do this? Or is it just for use if you dont have a computer? I'm looking @ the Canon I960 right now and trying to find more research to support buying it. I have $200 price tag, as we only use it to print pics of my 6 month old son. The main goal is best quality pics and low cost per page for the money. Speed, frills, really doesnt matter. -burrkiss Hi frprinterwiz. I just bought a used HP LaserJet 4 printer and the paper tray doesn't have the vertical (green)inserts that hold the paper against the
front spring side of the mechanism. Do you know where I might purchase
just these "paper guides" and not the whole tray? Thanks in advance, Sam.
-audiomagi Hi, asked about getting this part in the messageboard. 350206-001 it is a hard drive try for a HP pavilion zv5000 series. Do you know anything about hp 8290 scanjets. the starfish are driving me nuts about the speed, I have noticed under some profiles they are faster. all profiles have the same permissions and I havent found any setting changes that made a difference. -SGTARKyTEK Try reading The Space Merchants and The Merchants War by Frederick Pohl and C.M. Kornbluth, if you thing ad screens on gas pumps are weird. OK, they're weird, but quite tame compared to what we may see in the future. It's scary to contemplate the possibilities. -sassicatz On the SopBox Weather: It got so cold down here in Houston, I turned off the AirConditioner! -satanstech Hey, I had namor access my router remotely, and he couldn't find anything amiss. If you're still interested in helping me with my network printer problems, send me a reply e-mail, and I'll send back contact info. Thanks, Riff -RiffRaff I wasn't thinking afternoon. I'm dropping a friend off at the train station for a 7 pm departure. But I'm guessing you wouldnt feel up to driving all the way to TO for dinner after having them cram stuff in yer noggin all afternoon, no worries :) -evolvedstarfish Lonely, nothing to do? Come to the "Great White North TSC meet-up" in August! A cast of thousands guaranteed!* If you can't make it to GTA, w 'll swing by Niagra Falls too with any luck.
*The bit about a cast of thousands might be a fib. -lineswine RCA biege....yep! -RandalGraves Cool so we will be on the same team for 10 days at least! Spent Thurs Y-cording with 4 diff agents and there were only 2 calls that I learned anything from...the rest were all SF lol. -LassTech Hiyas FR :) Missed you on your last day at work :-( Hope you are doing great..if you need anything just leave me a message on my whiteboard :) -LassTech Gratz on the 6 yrs clean & sober! $Deity willing, I'll have 10 years in November. -purplelinguist Your troubleshooting writeup on AL's printer question is a work of art. Do you mind if I borrow some sections of it for an internal troubleshooting document I'm working on? -Ramblin I have some PC 2700 RAM at home I'm not using anymore; a pair of 256 and a pair of 512. Let me know if you want them. -Starfury Thanks for the driver offer; it's a color laserjet cp4005n, the driver that worked was supplied with the printer about 18 months ago. It's running on a Server2003 machine. I've actually got it mostly functioning using the PCL5 driver rather than PCL6 :) -smellystudent
