Bio: Wife of helldesk, mother of 2 boys. My family defines who I am and everything I hope to be. I am a 4 time cancer survivor, I have diabetes and a heart condition...but I wouldn't have survived any of it without the unconditional support of my family...my entire family. Thank you all...ok enough of the dramatics...I'd like to think I have at least a bit above average intelligence with a wicked sense of humor, and I'm, proudly, a raging smart-ass...I guess it's better than being a dumbass. Nothing, really, offends me and I lost all sense of modesty 2 kids and 12 surgeries ago. You can find me most Friday nights cheering on our HS football team "the SHAMrocks"...there's a name that strikes fear into the opposition "the SHAMrocks", may as well be called the "Blasted Pansies"...but they are hometown and my town and I'd cheer my heart out for them even if they were the "Blasted Pansies"...just don't ask me to don the spirit wear. I love all kinds of sports, an ice cold beer and a bucket of hot wings. That's my kind of date. I went through a 4th bout with cancer in 2009 and am happy to say that I'm doing ok.
Write on my Whiteboard, it will get posted and e-mailed to me.
From one of you're coments : "as soon as I can stick my head up my own ass, I'll tell you what that view is" ... Ouch, I really hope you're just refering to non tech male's right? -Lordpryo
re: Cust Type 723 - since I live in that fair place, the City Of Destiny, I feel your pain. I hate to diss on my neighbors but I moreso hate hate HATE taking support calls from Tacoma. Almost as much as I hate calls from New Jersey, the whole state, but for different reasons (stupidity vs. arrogance). Keep up the good work... -Mushroom
Got to hand it to you Chrystal you have many stories to tell. I must admit they were really amusing. I can really say that my heart goes out to you. Stick with it and one day you will be the manager. -giggy
Thanks for your kind words! I always appreciate the support this site provides. -TechOgre
This might be a valuable resource for your son's science project: http://www.science4kids.com/ -CarbonTetra
4/12/04 Just a personal-type note-> While you're away, post once in a while to let us know how you are. Also: I'm sure you already have had this happen- people will offer all kinds of advice; some of them will have various motives but just about everybody is trying to be helpful - try to soak up all the good wishes that come your way and ignore the parts that don't help. -S -Skylark
04/14/04 Chrystal, I am so rooting for you to get thru this with the least amount of trouble you can possibly have. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you! -Tekkie
"Beauty school dropout"... sounds like you work with some good people. *grin* Glad to see a trace of you again! -teivrann

Somebody loves you they made you a star!
Welcome to the galaxy! - a much-deserved star. The phantom benefactor couldn't have picked better. I hope all is going well. -Gromit
Nice star, sweetie! Hope you're well enough soon to make use of it! -Tekkie
Congrats on the star :) -Warrick
Great star! Congrats! May it bring even more TSC karma your way. -BritishBunny
Beautiful star. Welcome to the constellation. -Rabbitt
Ever thought about network marketing as a next career? I have a very interesting one that's just opening up, involving a new technology. If you're interested, drop me a line and I'll give you more information. -CelticSkyhawk
Bored you say? Ever tried download.com? Plenty of small demo's. Conquest is a rip off of RISK and the files are pretty easy to hack. Like setting Austrailia to getting 100 armies if you take it. Anyways, have fun. Challenge the kids to a game of UNO. Thats how I used to get through home room. -MaskedMarauder
Sorry for the late reply, but I am slowly catching up on the TSC backlog from the past week. Questionable lymph nodes? Damn, I really don't know what to say here. If your doctors are anything like the ones I've dealt with, about all you can do is remember that they do an awful lot of testing to see if it's what you fear, and that they have to warn you early in the process. (My sister recently got a two week scare because her doctor started a series of tests for possible HIV infection, which meant that her husband and infants may had also been infected. Fortunately, it turned out to be a false alarm.) Remember that your friends will be thinking and praying for you, TSC or otherwise. Please post again when you get more info on this, and remember that if it won't be a collective sigh of relief on your behalf, we'll be here to support your efforts. -HidariMak

Just wanted to say Hi. So. Hi. -Rabbitt
Hi Persephone, I just wanted to but a little buzz in your ear. Have you thought about doing tech work for the healthcare industry? I don't know about Indiana, but here in south Texas, even entry level field service techs make in the range of 15-18 per hour. I started that way about 6 years ago. I am currently a senior applications analyst, writing data extract routines (NPR's) for Meditech (popular healthcare database system, ala Oracle), and I make about $32 per hour, salaried, and I telecommute 3 days out of 5, no oncall. Chin up, it will all work out for you, I am sure. Karma your way. -Gecko
Now, far be it from me to comment adversely upon a lady's posterior, but my! that's a big 'un. Shiny, too. ;) -Gromit
Eyup, big bum! -lineswine
Nice butt. I mean STAR. Yeah. STAR. That's what I meant. -Rabbitt
Hi! You were gifted a shirt with your star membership. I just need to know what size you would like and where we can ship it to. Thanks! -Hawkswifey
