Bio: Let's see...Six years in the WI Army Nat'l Guard as a mechanic (many years ago). I should use some space and tell of some SF activity concerning the use of military vehicles and other adventures one of these days. In college I worked in the intramurals dept and at the help desk. Since then, I spent a short time (about 5 months) as a sheriff's deputy (kinda fun/kinda not story, but still have not found a better job). Joined my first law firm and worked at the help desk again (about 2.5 yrs) and then spent 7 years as the firm's web content specialist working with intranets and extranets training users/content managers, troubleshooting and doing some basic administration/project management. Eight months after being laid off I found a new position at another law firm (anyone else see a pattern) as the technology support manager.

So Jez is being offensive with the use of "scary", as applied to Fundamentalists? Two "scary" words for you....Spanish Inquisition (as run by "non-scary" fundamentalists no doubt. Land of the free? Hah! (as long as you don't upset the fundamentalists) P.S. Put yer money where your mouth is & buy a star! -lineswine
cool i liked victory tower, but i really liked the gas chamber. what training unit were u with? -postal tech
Heya...got your message...my law firm has about 1400 lawyers, 4000 total employees over 28 offices....:) -da5ve
Hey wadda ya mean 'so wrong'?. It's the gift that keeps on giving! :0) -Digital Dogcow
It's a fucking joke. Grow a sense of humor. Did it strike too close to home for you? No, I don't speed or drive like an asshat. I believe in obeying the law. All law, not just the ones that I happen to agree with. Just because a law is stupid doesn't give you the right to disobey it. -scooby111
Hey I was in the WI national guard too, where were was your unit? -Hawk
Wow - congrats on the star! Welcome to the celestial sphere! -BritishBunny
Re: your post - You do know its not this Friday right? Next Friday - Friday 3rd September - don't arrive a week too soon please <g> -BritishBunny

hey red I one of my mos's is 63b. It sucked being one in the gaurd. You tell the knot heads to pmcs their vehicles saturday morning, turn in the sheet so we can work on it. What do you know they turn them in at close to last formation sunday and neep about the vehicle having the same defictency as last month. I am a 74b now information system analyst. different neeping :p -SGTARKyTEK
If you are curious, SF is publicly known to have many gay and transgendered people. The joke about the corner of Polk and Geary is that you can find what can look like women, but not quite all there. If you get the meaning. Since pimping is illegal in Kahlifornia, Polk St. has been well known to never pick up a female date there for there will be a suprise waiting for you. -BayAreaTech

sigh, I guess me and you are outnumbered on this terri case. I wonder how much of it media perception granted i get biased the other way because the only newsfeed (since I am overseas) is the savage nation. Anyway here is article stating media was focused more on mr shaivos point view http://www.washtimes.com/national/20050323-110304-3387r.htm -SGTARKyTEK
heya Kurt...long time no hear! about the blackberry thing,...T-mobile is good domestically...it's just internationally that they are a bit lacking...but from what I can see, they're in talks with other mobile communications companies constantly...there will be coverage in france before too long... -da5ve

I was kinda drunk in Omaha. I musta let some intersting ones by my filter if they made me blush. (The best ones are already forgotten) -burrkiss
I'm glad you got home okay, redevil. That must have been quite a drive. It was good seeing you at rokkit's place. Very interesting conversations. But do you know who I am? I joined TSC Sunday night, so I had no nick at the party. My bio should make it clear. Fare thee well, oh brother in arms... -Voltage
Hey, Red! Me and rokitt passed the token between us. Welcome back to the BBC!! -Voltage
Glad to see that red-evil ass is still a large member of the BBC. -Rabbitt
Wow. Just wow. All I can say is, I can't possibly comprehend the depth of your bitterness toward the human race. -viennasausage
Admittedly, I haven't watched every report or read every article about Katrina but I've not heard or read a single thing about evacuees blaming anyone for their plight. Nor have I learned of any evacuees denying responsibility for their decisions. Can you point me to some? I have heard a lot of people explaining why they didn't leave. Most of the answers I heard were along the lines of, 'I had no place to go' or 'I didn't want to leave without my grandma and she's too weak to travel' or 'I couldn't afford the $200 to take a cab out of town because I'm broke and the planes, trains, and buses weren't running anyway' or 'This is the only home I've ever known and I'd rather die here with my entire life around me than be forced to live someplace where I know I won't survive'. But I've not heard anyone say, 'I stayed despite the warnings and despite the fact I had the means to leave and now that my life has been ruined I demand my government bail me out.' Undoubtedly, some of those people exist, but they are by no means in the majority. Can you recognize that? In every crowd, there are always a few jerk-offs. This crowd happens to be very large so there are a fairly large amount of jerk-offs within it. But isn't it time to support all of these folks with help and hope instead of hate? I just don't understand the hate. -viennasausage
